At today's prime time press conference the schoolboy president demonstrated again that he doesn't know as much about
the world as the guy on the next barstool. In fact if the guy on the next barstool didn't know more than that, most of us
would start talking about promises made to the wife. When will Bush start reading the Washington Post? He'd be amazed at what
he could learn there, if he can learn at all.
He made it clear why Tenet, for example, never told him anything: nobody wants to incite new behavior by a
loose cannon. The schoolboy tries to sound reasonable, but he's beginning to walk and talk like a defeated man.
Clearly not in command or control, he's resolved and determined to play his parrot recordings and let somebody else figure
out what to do. It just occurred to me that his eyes and his walk today reminded me of Saddam's when he was captured: he was
caught, too.
