WEASEL (WEASELER, WEASELING)

Randy Cohen, the New York Times Ethicist, nicely and precisely defines a (human) weasel as one who speaks the literal truth with utterly deceptive intent. Does that sound like Dubya? And like Shiney, Wolf-Wits and Rumsfull?

The American Heritage Dictionary adds the etymological gem, "From the weasel's habit of sucking the contents out of an egg without breaking the shell."

CHICKENHAWK

This fine (with apologies to the honorable bird) appellation for the schoolboy and almost all of his Vulcan flock is used to shotgun them all by a noble on-line journal called The New Hampshire Gazette. Please visit them at <http://www.nhgazette.com>.

The Bush cabal are the new world class of weasel-wording chickenhawks.
